THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
In this still life display, the Tenderness painting showcases the immense feeling of emptiness one can feel; it shows a life unfulfilled, a purpose not met. With its pitcher that holds no milk, its canister that holds no water, its box that is slightly sunken in from a lack of fulfillment, the belt meant to be holding something up but instead lying lazily on a table and its flimsy paper bag that holds inside of it absolutely nothing, emptiness is displayed. This painting uses ethereal colors to show the hope that perhaps one day the void inside might be filled, but for now, the only thing inside is air.
GETTING TO KNOW PETR LDIN
Peter Ldin is an artist born in St. Petersburg and was raised around a family of artists as well. This inspired him to pursue his love of painting, and you can see his passion for life and his passion for art in everything he does. Peter Ldin puts a lot of focus on the female body, not always necessarily nudes, but just the expression of life in the female form.
