Spring is in the air with the Still-Life with Apples painting. A playful combination of pastel colors, pinks, greens and yellows, this piece showcases the fruits of the warmer months budding and blossoming. The pink apple is sweet and playful, inviting one to take their first steps back out into nature after a long winter of dullness and lifelessness, while the green apple is a prominent symbol of nature, renewal, life and energy. The yellow apple fits in well with its representation of sunshine and happiness, and the lighted nature of this painting provides a sunshiny outlook on the rest of the work.

Born in the year 1990, Ivan Balyasnikov is a Ukranian artist that uses both the skill and technique he was taught in school in harmony with the ones he picked up and developed on his own as he grew up. He went to an art school that he graduated from in the year 2004. He also attended the Crimean Art College by Smokish in the year 2008, and using that knowledge plus what was learned from famous artist Boris Zavalnuk, Ivan Balyasnikov was able to create his own style and begin creating pieces that are unique to only him.
