THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Origin Painting features a woman who is bent over her own body, cradling her head as she tucks herself in around her bent legs and knees. She is cast in a number of different colors including purple, pink, blue and yellow with most of her body being painted in a grayish, off-white color. She has black, short hair that contrasts against the gray, orange, red and white backdrop. She appears to be in somewhat of a fetal position, and this is evidenced by the title of the painting, as every human originates in such a position before birth.
