THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
This abstract painting, The Apple Sindrom 07, has been created with bleak, dark colors that make up both the background and the subject of the painting. The red color that takes up the top of the painting appears to stand for the passion one holds and the sensual temptation that follows. The nude woman's back is to the viewer and subsequently to the green apple that is resting behind her. A symbol of temptation in Biblical stories, the nude woman appears to be metaphorically turning her back on the temptations that her thoughts are leading her towards.
