THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Waterfall With Boulders Painting depicts a tranquil riverscape reminiscent of a scene that one might find while hiking through a mountain path that is littered with rivers and other water paths and features such as waterfalls. This painting uses large, long and purposeful brushstrokes to convey the image of water rushing and even trickling down a stony path in some places. Boulders of different hues of tan, gray and orange forge the path for the water to run through and to run over, creating a beautiful stream that verges on the edge of becoming a waterfall.
