The composition of this painting is quite curious, and probably it was the attention of the artist Rusudan Khizanishvili. The viewer’s eyes are moving from one place to another almost unable to decide what the focus of this piece of art is. Is it a dog? Or a woman’s face? The colors are vivid, the stroke lines are bold and the images reflects the chaos inside the painter. Maybe, this piece could be seen as a series of different paintings with each idea given time and space to be expressed, to communicate the meaning that was inside of mind of its creator.

Born to the country of Russia in the year 1979, Rusudan Khizanishvili is a contemporary artist who lives and works in the country of Georgia. She takes her influence from a number of artists that came before her, her work a reflection of the history of art while also putting her own spin on their styles. She primarily uses oil in her paintings to create a unique texture on each one. The results are paintings that verge on nightmarish with their interesting takes of the human form and of places that appear as if they could only be real in the dream world.
