Song For Rain is an original, one-of-a-kind figurative painting signed by artist Rusudan Khizanishvili. This piece of art was created in 2014 and the painter used acrylic on cardboard. It measures 20" x 24" inch (50 x 60 cm) and is available for sale online for 3000 USD.

This acrylic on cardboard painting is an interesting, complex piece that would find a good home in a room that carries a clean, modern, monochrome design. A deep red background offsets two characters holding an object that seems to be the central piece of their relationship. The stone greys and blue-green hues across the center and lower portion of the piece lend a mellow, almost sad feel to the entire image. The piece is both serene and fiery, soothing and disturbing, provoking thought and our inner conflicts to surface as we observe. Young artist Rusudan Khizanishvili creates yet another contemporary centerpiece that incites conversation.

Born to the country of Russia in the year 1979, Rusudan Khizanishvili is a contemporary artist who lives and works in the country of Georgia. She takes her influence from a number of artists that came before her, her work a reflection of the history of art while also putting her own spin on their styles. She primarily uses oil in her paintings to create a unique texture on each one. The results are paintings that verge on nightmarish with their interesting takes of the human form and of places that appear as if they could only be real in the dream world.
