THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The name of this acrylic on canvas is, quite aptly so, “Untitled.” Sometimes a thought comes to mind that we can’t quite define or a feeling conquers us that we can’t quite place. Like the geometric shapes tumbling in the corner of this piece, the chaos within us stumbles and staggers to find a position that might be comfortable, if for just a moment. In this chaos, we can just barely make out a few rooftops and windows. And, while the layered houses of this cityscape might give us pause, they are also comforting and familiar. It may be chaos, but it is a chaos familiar to us and all our own.
