THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The central point of this painting being the balcony is the authentic association to Georgians’ description of their country – the balcony of Europe. Watching the people passing by and enjoying the moment, while standing on the balcony of a lonely building could be an emotional representation of the artist’s views of the old, small Tbilisi streets. Giorgi Kovziashvili’s work reflects ordinary life back to us with simplicity, which is sometimes everything we need to be able to embrace and enjoy the unfamiliar. This piece will remind you of the beauty of a peaceful sunset at the close of a day.
