Stray Dog is an original, one-of-a-kind cityscape-rural painting signed by artist Anna Timshina. This piece of art was created in 2013 and the painter used pastel on paper. It measures 11" x 18" inch (29 x 46 cm) and is available for sale online for 480 USD.

This particular winter sky, as strange as it seems, is even whiter than the snow, almost glowing through the naked trees. No colours and no defined structures, this is simply a quiet landscape, hosting a lone dog, most probably looking for food and active in this quest, a necessity if he is to survive this harsh and bare environment to see a better season and a better day. The crisp, cold scene is depicted to perfection and makes the viewer not only want to reach out and take that dog in, if only for the night, but begs us to wonder at the simplicity, harshness, and cold that nature, the world and life sometimes leave us with.

Born in Perm, Russia, Anna Timshina has been creating art since she was a child. Her grandfather was also an artist and helped to guide her in her artistic abilities. Inspired by a love of arts from a young age, she attended art school to fine-tune the skills she'd practiced while young. She graduated from that art school and moved on to create paintings and other art pieces that spoke to her.
