THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
Many old European cities have this in common with historical Karlsbad - beautiful squares surrounded by timeless buildings, painted here in lively colours and decorated with taste. At first seemingly quiet and peaceful, the crowded streets below are thriving with life. Traders and artists are everywhere, going about their busy day. This oil on canvas breathes of the familiarities of life and a lively neighborhood. We’ve all been there. The viewer can almost hear the familiar cacophony of people shouting and calling, greeting each other, offering whatever they’re selling today, arguing and chatting, and providing pure joy for the eavesdropping observer.
