Bulls are a symbol of strength and determination. Using their large, protruding horns, bulls stop at nothing to get what they want and are known as being rather headstrong and relentless. The red in the horns of the bull featured in the Toro painting seems to symbolize a passionate and aggressive nature as he huffs hot breath from his nose. Close to his head, the colors reflect the sense of power resting inside of the bull, his own willpower and determination to go after what he wants emanating from both the bull's body and his mind alike.
