THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Bukusela painting is a story told of the damage that one can cause to the environment. In this piece, a fish composed of the dark, murky, decaying colour of black that is slowly eating away at his celestially hued scales of yellow and blue is swimming toward a stream of blood that is polluting his water from above. The sky in the photo is just as dreary and bleak, with the bed of the river being lined with sun dried flowers and plants that have also seemed to have lost their vitality as well as their luster.
